Syeda Shumaila Naaz Rizvi

Being a high school graduate in the medical field from Lady Irwin Sr. Sec. School, New Delhi, Shumaila pursued a bachelor degree in life science with speciality in zoology. Being a hard-core biology student, she was not at all interested in politics and nor she ever bothered to keep herself updated about contemporary international political dynamics taking place across the globe. It was only in 2019 that she finally decided to switch her field and penetrate into politics. Hence, she began her post graduation in International Relations with specialisation in West Asian Studies from Jamia Millia Islamia which she finished in 2022 as a gold medalist in this field. Right after that, she began to pursue second master’s in International Studies with specialisation in Arab Islamic Culture.
Besides her growing interest in international politics, she also loves to learn new languages. Her thirst for the same made her fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu and Turkish and intermediate in Arabic. Apart from being indulged into academics, she is also a keen reader as she has set up a mini library of her own in her room. In this mini library, one can find numerous books from a wide spectrum of genres which include, Islamic theology, Jewish and Christian theology, comparative religion, history (global), philosophy, political theory, war, politics, international relations, biographies, art and architecture, basic science and medicine and of course a plethora of fiction novels.
After getting to know the world more closely from a political as well as a religious lens, she envisaged the urge to educate today’s youth about authentic past of their nation and religion and it’s influence on contemporary society and politics. This proved to the base for her broad step to establish this institution called IKCCR to impart true and very much needed information to the youth of today’s society

Shumaila has finished her post graduation in International Relations with specialization in West Asian Studies from Jamia Millia Islamia during which she gained immense knowledge about history of Islam, Arabs and Muslims. Currently she is pursuing a second master’s degree in International studies with specialization in Arab Islamic Culture.

Deputy Director

Abul Kalam Khan

Being a high school graduate in Islamic theology from Jamiatul Falah, Abul Kalam pursued a bachelor degree in Arabic language and literature from Jamia Millia Islamia.

To become more concrete in Arabic language, Abul Kalam pursued advanced diploma in Modern Arabic language and translation from Jamia Millia Islamia.

With his passion of reading books, he has covered a wide spectrum of Interests in terms of reading which includes politics, history, Islamic theology, International Relations and needless to say fiction novels.

After gaining command on the Arabic language, Abul Kalam found himself capable enough to dig deeper into the Arab World hence, He decided to go for his post graduation in the field of International relations with specialization in West Asian Studies from Jamia Millia Islamia which he completed in 2022.

Being in touch with plenty of literate young people around him during his graduation, Abul Kalam realized that he is surrounded with people who are literate yet unlettered about authentic knowledge of Islamic teachings, culture, theology and literature in its core essence.

With his love for teaching and addressing the youth, Abul Kalam joined hands with the cause of IKCCR and began his career here as the deputy director at IKCCR

This course is full of knowledge and is very helpful for understanding the scenario right now going in Israel and Palestine in terms of religious way and political way too. The way of teaching was very communicative and u always tried to clear all doubts and kept explaining the things until one undertood... But I think there should be more classes on modern history too and the first slide should be change bcoz it is not as visible as compare to other slide. Just have a look on first slide that is introduction to Abrahamic religion..
